This school is looking to appoint a dedicated 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 4 female student.As a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support throughout the school day, helping the student to engage with learning, manage emotions and develop the confidence needed to succeed in education. You will act as a mentor, advocate and positive role model, building a trusting relationship that encourages participation, attendance and personal growth.The role will combine classroom support with mentoring, requiring someone who can adapt their approach to meet the student's individual needs while working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and families. The Successful Teaching Assistant Will Have:\n

• Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH needs, SEND or barriers to learning

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and empathetic approach

• The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
\n
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker or similar (desirable)

• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve positive outcomes
