Material Controller12 month contractLocation: GloucesterPay - £17.95 p/hOur client, a leading name in aerospace manufacturing, is hiring for a reputable company based in Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Material Controller on a 12-month contract, supporting the smooth flow of materials to meet production schedules and ensure on-time delivery to customers.What you'll be doing:* Attend daily Materials Fulfilment meetings to review material status, prioritise kitting, and escalate concerns.* Create and print Work Orders aligned with the production plan.* Collaborate closely with Production Controllers to understand kitting priorities and standard work in progress.* Marshal materials between cells and transfer materials within OE and R&O organisations.* Check for material shortages before booking assets to stock.* Maintain accurate stock records in ERP systems and manual trackers, ensuring traceability of manufactured parts.* Apply problem-solving skills to resolve material issues, working with cross-functional teams.* Operate within a compliant environment, maintaining the integrity of business systems.* Support production needs, with potential for overtime or shift flexibility.What you'll bring:* Experience using ERP systems, ideally Oracle.* Prior experience in material control or inventory management is highly desirable.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.* Problem-solving mindset and team-oriented approach.This role offers a fantastic chance to contribute to a reputable aerospace organisation, working in a collaborative environment that values precision and proactive problem solving.
