Your work will help shape investment decisions, energy improvement strategies and the continued delivery of safe, well-maintained homes.The role requires strong technical knowledge of building systems, surveying methodologies, Decent Homes legislation and property-related compliance, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work positively with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.DUTIESYour duties as the Asset Surveyor include:Stock Condition Surveys: Conduct comprehensive surveys to assess component age, physical condition and remaining lifeHHSRS Assessments: Identify and evaluate potential hazards, ensuring properties meet safety and regulatory standardsEnergy Performance Certificates: Produce EPCs in line with statutory requirements and organisational objectivesProperty Data Collection: Gather and provide accurate data to support investment programmes and energy efficiency strategiesCustomer and Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organisation positively, maintaining high standards of customer care and communicationCompliance and Safety: Support equality, diversity, health and safety, and relevant property management requirements in day-to-day workWorking Relationships: Build effective relationships with internal teams, customers and external contacts to support shared objectivesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALDegree-level education or equivalent, a relevant professional qualification, or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience in building, asset management or a related disciplineStrong technical knowledge of building systems, construction types, materials and maintenance challengesIn-depth understanding of Decent Homes legislation and HHSRSSignificant experience of property surveying techniques and methodologiesWorking knowledge of housing law, leaseholder consultation, building safety legislation and property management legislationExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skillsHighly organised, methodical and detail-focused, with the ability to meet targets and deadlinesKnowledge of housing and asset management systems, mobile devices and Microsoft OfficeAbility to adopt a continuous improvement approach and adapt to changeFull UK driving licence and access to a carDESIRABLEMembership of MCIOB, RICS or an equivalent professional bodyQualification as a Domestic Energy Assessor or willingness to trainBENEFITS25 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays, increasing up to 28 days with 3 years of serviceUp to 8% contributory pensionFlexible workingA generous annual allowance of up to £300 to use towards health and lifestyle benefits for both you and your familyThis role requires a DBS checkThe organisation recognises that some people will only apply for a role if they meet 100% of role requirements.If this sounds like you, theyd still encourage you to apply should you not feel you meet the criteria 100%.APPLY TODAYBy submitting your job application to us you are hereby giving us your express consent to submit your details to our Client for this purpose.JOB REF: AWDO-P14969Full-Time, Permanent Property, Construction and Trades Jobs, Careers and Vacancies.
