We believe in traditional relationship and service-led banking powered by modern technology.We are expanding our Bristol team and have a rare opportunity to hire two additional Private Bankers, or aspiring professionals ready to step into the role, within our prestigious city-centre office.In this role, the successful candidate will use their knowledge, experience and networks to help build and support a Private Banking service tailored to the unique needs of High Net Worth (HNW) clients.You will develop and strengthen relationships with a diverse portfolio of HNW clients, creating long-term, strategic partnerships founded on a collaborative and client-centric approach. Acting as an ambassador for the Bank, you will represent us both externally and internally, demonstrating professionalism, insight and a commitment to exceptional service.Key Responsibilities:Client ManagementManaging performance to meet business targets and ensure unwavering commitment to service excellenceDeveloping a relationship as your Clients strategic partner in the bank and acting as a gateway to our products and servicesManaging a criteria client portfolio (including the management of a loan book) with particular focus on its impact on the P&L and the Balance SheetDevelop and present business cases that match appropriate financial products to our Clients needsTake primary responsibility for management of clients within your portfolioClient AcquisitionManaging your network of personal and business relationships to acquire, develop and service ClientsRisk:Take overall responsibility for your risk and regulatory performanceResponsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and proceduresKey Interfaces:Clients (& Client representatives)Private Banking team (including fellow bankers / Private Banking Executives / Credit Analysts)Director Private BankingCredit Risk / Onboarding / Operations teams / Arbuthnot Latham Investment ManagementPerson SpecificationKnowledge / Experience/Skills:You will have broad experience across the financial services industry and good knowledge of the Private Banking marketPrivate Banking experience (dealing with HNW individuals)Ability to identify and close cross sale opportunities within your portfolioProven track record of deliveryExceptional Relationship SkillsEffective management of risk controls and adherence to regulatory requirementsSkillsExcellent Interpersonal skills (Networking, Negotiation, Presentation, Influencing)Excellent Business Development skillsExcellent Business Case writing skillsQualifications:Relevant Banking, Financial Planning and/ or Investment Management QualificationsLevel 4 qualified including CeMAP expectation.Competence with Microsoft OfficeCompetencies:Planning and ReviewingPerformance FocusTeam WorkingClient FocusInfluencing OthersCommunicating with confidenceAbout UsAt Arbuthnot Latham, we seek proactive individuals who embrace high standards and bring the energy needed to drive success.
