Industrial Electrician

Are you an experienced Industrial Electrician or Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a technically varied role within a complex process plant?We are recruiting an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the established engineering team at an operational energy and industrial processing facility in Stoke-on-Trent.This is a hands-on electrical maintenance role where you will help ensure that critical plant, machinery and electrical equipment continues to operate safely, efficiently and reliably.You will work across planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, electrical fault finding, defect rectification and plant improvement projects. The site offers a varied engineering environment with excellent opportunities to broaden your technical knowledge and develop your industrial electrical experience.The Role As Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you will:Complete planned preventative maintenance using computerised maintenance job cardsRespond quickly to electrical breakdowns and plant faultsDiagnose and rectify electrical defects across plant and process equipmentFault-find within control panels, starters and control systemsTest, repair and wire industrial motors operating at 110V, 240V and 415VInstall and replace cabling using tray, conduit and trunking systemsRead and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawingsCarry out electrical isolations in line with site proceduresSupport plant modifications and continuous improvement projectsWork closely with operations teams to identify and resolve equipment issuesAssist contractors during planned outages and major maintenance activityWork safely within Permit to Work, risk assessment and plant operating proceduresUndertake work at height and within confined spaces when requiredHelp maintain appropriate stock levels of electrical spares and consumablesThe successful candidate will support the continued availability and performance of a complex incineration and process plant through both proactive and reactive maintenance.About You We are looking for an electrically qualified maintenance professional with experience gained in an industrial, manufacturing or process environment.You should have:A recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualificationPrevious experience in an industrial electrical maintenance roleStrong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience working with three-phase motors, control panels, starters and controlsThe ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentationA proactive approach to preventative maintenance and defect resolutionThe ability to work independently and remain calm under pressureA strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation and Permit to Work systemsGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operations and maintenance teamsLocationThe position is based in Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 and could be suitable for candidates commuting from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stone, Stafford, Crewe, Congleton, Leek, Uttoxeter, Market Drayton or surrounding areas.Apply today with an up-to-date CV to be considered for this Industrial Maintenance Electrician opportunity.TPBN1_UKTJ
