Traffic Co-ordinator - Nights

Location: MagorSalary: up to £34,000 doeHours: 5pm to 5am or 7pm to 7am (4 on 4 off shift pattern)Summary:We are recruiting for a Traffic Controller to join a busy transport operation, working either 5pm to 5am or 7pm to 7am on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a haulage or logistics environment who can communicate effectively with drivers, customers and the wider transport team. The role will involve briefing and debriefing drivers, ensuring smooth shift handovers, and helping to keep transport operations running efficiently throughout the night.Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the transport operation during night shifts, ensuring drivers are fully briefed, routes are communicated clearly and any issues are resolved quickly and professionally.Brief and debrief drivers at the start and end of each shiftMonitor vehicle movements and support the smooth running of transport operations overnightCommunicate effectively with drivers, customers and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issuesMaintain accurate transport records and complete relevant administration tasksSupport shift handovers and ensure all driver and vehicle information is updated correctlyRespond calmly and efficiently to operational issues in a fast-paced environmentExperience:Previous experience in a haulage or logistics environment is essentialExcellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers and colleaguesAbility to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectivelyStrong organisational skills and attention to detailConfident using transport systems and general Microsoft Office applicationsProcessing Your DataBis Henderson Recruitment is a leading provider of recruitment, interim management and consultancy services to the supply chain and logistics industry.
