This new Building Safety Manager role in our Building Safety Team gives you the chance to shape how safety is done from the start. Its hands-on, meaningful work that helps protect our customers and gives them peace of mind in the place they call home.Youll lead safety work across our higher-risk residential buildings, using your technical knowledge to guide decisions, manage risks and make sure we meet the standards set out in the Building Safety Act. This isnt just about ticking boxes. Its about understanding what people need to feel safe and making sure thats what they get. Youll work across your region, building strong relationships with colleagues and helping to join the dots between regulation, real life and what matters most to customers.What youll doLead Building Safety Cases from start to finish and keep them up to dateUse fire risk assessments to spot risks early and advise on smart, timely actionsGuide inspection and remediation work, making sure checks are done and issues are fixedHelp housing teams embed safety into everyday practice with clear, practical adviceMake sure golden thread data is collected and shared with the right peopleSupport walkabouts and meetings to help customers understand whats happening and whyWhy join usImagine finishing each day knowing youve made a real difference in our customers lives. Youll be part of a supportive team that takes pride in doing things right, with the autonomy to make decisions and the backing to follow them through.You haveStrong experience leading building safety in high-risk residential settingsConfidence managing safety cases and golden thread dataDeep knowledge of fire risk assessments and remediationAbility to turn complex findings into clear advice for othersProfessional membership like RICS, CIOB or IFE, or equivalent experienceA calm, confident approach when working with contractors, regulators and colleaguesThe practical bitsYoull work Monday to FridayYou will at times need to flex your working hours to meet with customers when it works best for them, so you may have occasional evening working.This is a hybrid role and youll spend some days each week out and about or in our offices, and the rest working from home.To get from A to B, youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes.
