Senior Estimator / Cost PlannerWarrington - £65,000 - £80,000 + PackageThe Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established and expanding £40m turnover Developer / Contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator / Cost Planner to join their Warrington-based team.With a strong and growing pipeline, this is a key appointment within the Pre-Construction function, offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects and play a pivotal role in shaping early-stage development decisions.The Role As a Senior Estimator, you will lead on cost planning and estimating activities from initial land appraisal through to tender stage, ensuring accuracy, commercial viability, and alignment with project objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead preparation of cost appraisals for new land opportunitiesUndertake detailed take-offs and produce comprehensive cost plans and feasibility studiesAnalyse drawings and specifications to develop accurate and competitive estimatesManage and contribute to tender submissions, including pricing strategies and documentationWork closely with Land, Technical, Design and Commercial teamsOversee and maintain cost databases and benchmarking informationProvide leadership and guidance to junior team members where requiredAbout YouProven experience in a Senior Estimating or Cost Planning roleBackground within housebuilding, development or main contractingStrong commercial awareness and understanding of construction methodologiesRelevant qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)Advanced proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft OfficeExcellent analytical, organisational and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyDesirable ExperienceStrong new-build housing exposureWider construction sector tendering experienceWhat you get in returnCompetitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000Comprehensive benefits packageKey role within a growing and stable pre-construction teamOpportunity to influence early-stage project and land decisionsLong-term progression within a well-backed contractor/developerApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
