Technical Engineer, South Wales£Competitive DOE + BenefitsTechnical Engineer | CAD | Design | Engineering | Heavy Plant | Lifting Equipment | Mechanical EngineeringThe OpportunityParadigm Employment Services are delighted to be working in partnership with an established engineering business to recruit a Technical Engineer for their South Wales operation.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys combining technical design, problem solving and customer support. Working as part of a specialist technical team, you'll provide engineering solutions for a wide range of customer projects, producing technical drawings, supporting operational teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.The role is predominantly office based in Wales Head Office, although occasional visits to customer sites may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD / CAD softwareDesign engineering solutions to meet customer and project requirementsReview technical specifications, drawings and customer enquiriesProvide technical support to commercial and operational teamsLiaise with customers regarding technical requirements and proposed solutionsCarry out engineering calculations and ensure compliance with relevant standardsAssist with project planning and technical documentationSupport continuous improvement of engineering processes and designsAttend customer sites when required to gather information or provide technical supportWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in a Technical Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar engineering roleStrong CAD / AutoCAD experienceEngineering background within sectors such as: Heavy PlantLifting EquipmentConstruction PlantMechanical EngineeringTemporary WorksMaterials HandlingIndustrial EquipmentAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsFull UK Driving LicenceDesirableExperience producing engineering calculationsUnderstanding of structural or mechanical design principlesKnowledge of lifting, load handling or heavy equipment (advantageous but not essential)HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)What's on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experienceStable long-term career opportunityProfessional and supportive engineering teamOngoing training and developmentOffice-based role with varied technical projectsOpportunity to work on complex engineering solutions across a range of industriesAbout Paradigm Employment ServicesAt Paradigm Employment Services, we specialise in connecting talented professionals with leading employers across engineering, technical, manufacturing and industrial sectors throughout the UK.
