Your duties will include:Conducting driver pre-briefs at the start of each shiftContacting stores ahead of scheduled deliveriesIssuing drivers with all required paperwork and equipmentCompleting agency documentation and carrying out licence checksMonitoring driver progress using Microlise and escalating issues where necessaryAllocating and amending driver workloads throughout the shiftKeeping transport management systems accurate and up to dateEnsuring compliance with driver hours, vehicle defects, and fleet legal requirementsLiaising with warehouse teams and shunters to ensure on-time departuresCoordinating vehicle and trailer availabilityCarrying out driver debriefs and completing associated administrationProducing KPI reports and updating spreadsheetsCommunicating effectively with First Line Managers (FLMs) and Shift ManagersFollowing all company Health & Safety proceduresBuilding positive working relationships with drivers and site teamsAdapting to changing operational demands within a busy transport environmentWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Experienced in Transport Administration , Transport Planning , or a similar logistics roleConfident using Microsoft Office, including Excel and WordComfortable learning and using transport management systems such as MicroliseOrganised, accurate, and able to prioritise workload effectivelyA strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skillsCustomer-focused with a professional telephone mannerAble to work independently as well as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high standardsCalm under pressure and able to thrive in a fast-paced transport environmentFlexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesWhy Join Rapier Employment?At Rapier Employment, we pride ourselves on delivering an outstanding service to both our clients and our workforce.
