Customs AdministratorLocation: Corby, NorthamptonshireAre you an experienced Customs or Import/Export professional looking to join a dynamic and fast paced business? We are looking for a detail oriented Customs Administrator to support our import and export operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods while maintaining full compliance with UK customs regulations.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customs knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and experience working within a logistics or FMCG environment.Key Responsibilities As a Customs Administrator, you will:Prepare accurate Import and Export Declaration Instructions for Customs Clearing Agents.Create Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists for export shipments.Obtain Health and Veterinary Certificates from internal technical teams where required.Complete Import and Export Declarations using CDS software and TSS, including ENS, SFD and Supplementary Declarations.Create CHEDs using TRACES NT and IPAFFS.Raise Goods Movement References (GMRs) through GVMS.Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all customs documentation is accurate and complete.Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers and transport providers to ensure the efficient movement of goods.Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and internal customs procedures.Maintain complete customs documentation for audit purposes.Provide support and guidance on customs related queries across the business.About You To be successful in this role, you'll have:Previous experience in a Customs Administrator, Import/Export or Customs Compliance role.A good understanding of Commodity Codes and Rules of Preferential Origin.Knowledge of the Windsor Framework/Northern Ireland Protocol and UKIMS (At Risk/Not At Risk).Strong understanding of UK customs procedures and HMRC compliance requirements.Experience using CDS, TSS, TRACES NT, IPAFFS and GVMS.Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy FMCG or logistics environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.What's in it for you?
