With major programme wins, continued investment, and cutting-edge RF and microwave technologies supporting next-generation satellite communications, this is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation delivering mission-critical hardware for some of the world's most demanding applications.Working within a collaborative and highly technical environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring quality, reliability and compliance across advanced space payload programmes, helping to drive the future of satellite communications and high-speed connectivity.What to ExpectAs a Payload Product Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring robust product assurance activities are embedded throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept and development through to manufacture and customer delivery.Key responsibilities include:Leading product assurance activities across payload and space hardware programmesEnsuring compliance with customer, regulatory and industry standards including ECSS, ESA and NASA requirementsWorking closely with engineering, manufacturing and test teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycleSupporting the selection and qualification of space-grade electronic components and materialsReviewing and approving quality plans, manufacturing documentation, non-conformance reports and release documentationLeading root cause investigations, corrective actions and Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRBs)Participating in design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, customer reviews and programme gate reviewsMonitoring quality metrics, process capability and continuous improvement activitiesMaintaining robust configuration control, traceability and documentationSupporting supplier quality and material/process compliance activitiesWhat You'll NeedWe're seeking an experienced engineering or quality professional who enjoys working within highly regulated and technically demanding environments.Essential requirements:Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Physics or a related disciplineExperience within Product Assurance, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Quality or Reliability EngineeringExperience working with complex electronic, RF, aerospace, defence or space productsStrong understanding of quality management systems, non-conformance management and root cause analysisKnowledge of space-grade electronic components, PCB manufacturing and aerospace soldering standardsFamiliarity with ECSS, ESA or NASA quality standardsExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teamsDesirable experience:Previous experience supporting satellite, payload or wider space programmesKnowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systemsExperience with configuration management, FMEA, risk management, qualification or acceptance testingExperience supporting supplier or customer auditsApplicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
