Environmental Lead Energy from Waste Fixed Term ContractSalary dependent on experience + car allowance + bonus + benefitsRegional role Scotland / East / WestSCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for an Environmental Lead to support a portfolio of Energy from Waste facilities across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on environmental professional to take a key regional role within a highly regulated, compliance-led energy recovery environment.As the Environmental Lead, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring environmental systems, procedures and systems of work across your region. You will support compliance with environmental permits, licences and relevant management systems, helping sites maintain best practice and avoid environmental incidents or permit non-compliance. You will provide environmental leadership, support productivity across the plants and help embed a no-compromise approach to environmental compliance.The role will involve:Managing and monitoring environmental systems, procedures and systems of work at regional levelMaintaining compliance with environmental permits, licences and management systemsMonitoring environmental performance, reporting and compliance to ensure best practiceSupporting permitted and regulated activities within controlled emissions environmentsProviding environmental advice and practical support to Plant Managers and site teamsInterpreting environmental data and identifying actions to prevent breaches or incidentsSupporting CEMS monitoring, reporting systems and emissions complianceDeveloping positive relationships with environmental regulators and inspectorsSupporting environmental incident response, investigations and corrective actionsPreparing sites for internal and external audits relating to ISO, environmental and compliance standardsSupporting planned and unplanned outages to ensure permit and licence requirements are maintainedHelping to embed a quality-led, compliance-focused culture across complex operational sitesThis is a 2 year fixed term contract role with the potential to go permanent afterTo be considered for this role, you should have:Experience as a hands-on environmental professional within an industrial settingExperience within Energy from Waste, energy recovery, power generation or another regulated process environmentStrong understanding of environmental permitting, reporting and regulatory obligationsExperience of permitted/regulated activities and controlled emissions environmentKnowledge of CEMS monitoring and reporting systemsKnowledge of the Energy from Waste or power industry, including relevant environmental legislationUnderstanding of ISO 14001, with awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 advantageousKnowledge of BS EN 14181 Quality Assurance would be beneficialStrong leadership, communication and influencing skillsGood analytical, IT and data management skillsA degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subjectFull UK driving licenceWhats on offer:Competitive salary dependent on experienceA car allowancePerformance related bonusCompany benefits packageRegional role supporting established Energy from Waste facilitiesOpportunity to influence environmental compliance, permitting and operational performance across multiple sitesFlexibility with working from homeExcellent opportunity to join a leading organisation in the UK energy recovery sectorFor further information or to apply please contact Steve or Callum at SCINERGY Recruitment on 02030 386 115 or emailTPBN1_UKTJ
