IT Support Engineer\n
Chelmsford
\n£30,000 per annum
\nMy client is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support at one of their customer sites in Chelmsford.
\nYou will act as the primary onsite IT contact, supporting users, maintaining the IT environment and working closely with the wider technical support team to resolve incidents and complete projects.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide first and second-line technical support to onsite users. \n
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and access-related issues. \n
- Install, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals. \n
- Manage support requests through the company’s ticketing system, ensuring accurate notes and timely updates. \n
- Support user accounts, permissions, password resets and group policies. \n
- Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding and equipment provisioning. \n
- Maintain IT asset records and customer documentation. \n
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and the wider service desk where escalation is required. \n
- Monitor systems, backups and endpoint security alerts. \n
- Assist with IT upgrades, migrations and improvement projects. \n
- Build a strong working relationship with the customer and provide a professional, approachable service. \n
Experience supporting a selection of the following would be beneficial:

- Windows 10 and Windows 11 \n
- Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive \n
- Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory \n
- Microsoft Intune and endpoint device management \n
- Exchange Online \n
- Windows Server and Group Policy \n
- Azure-based services \n
- Networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi and VPNs \n
- Endpoint security, antivirus and patch management \n
- Remote monitoring and management tools \n
- IT service desk and ticketing platforms \n
- Printers, meeting-room technology and audiovisual equipment \n
