What Youll Be Doing\n

As an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing a variety of air conditioning systems across commercial and industrial properties.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Air Conditioning Installations\n
    \n
  • Installing split, multi-split, VRF and VRV air conditioning systems.
  • \n
  • Installing wall-mounted, ceiling cassette, ducted and floor-mounted units.
  • \n
  • Installing heat pump systems and associated equipment.
  • \n
  • Positioning and mounting indoor and outdoor units.
  • \n
  • Installing refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage and interconnecting cables.
  • \n
  • Carrying out pressure testing, vacuuming and system commissioning.
  • \n
  • Recovering and handling refrigerant safely and in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
  • \n
  • Reading and working from technical drawings, specifications and manufacturer instructions.
  • \n
  • Ensuring installations are completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
  • \n
  • Completing relevant installation and commissioning documentation.
  • \n
Project Delivery\n
    \n
  • Working closely with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and other engineers.
  • \n
  • Ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales.
  • \n
  • Identifying and reporting any installation issues or variations.
  • \n
  • Maintaining good communication with clients while working on site.
  • \n
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety requirements and industry standards.
  • \n
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised and professional.
  • \n

There may occasionally be a requirement to assist with minor fault-finding or servicing; however, the primary focus of this role is air conditioning installation.

Travel Requirements\n

This role involves travelling to client sites across the UK.

\n

A company van is provided for all work-related travel. Some overnight stays may occasionally be required depending on the location and duration of the project.

What Were Looking ForEssential Requirements\n

  • F-Gas Category 1 certification.
  • \n
  • Previous experience installing air conditioning systems.
  • \n
  • Good knowledge of split, multi-split, VRF and VRV systems.
  • \n
  • Experience with refrigerant pipework, pressure testing, vacuuming and commissioning.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • \n
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • \n
  • A professional and reliable approach to work.
  • \n

A minimum of three years air conditioning installation experience is preferred.

Desirable Qualifications\n

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • \n
  • PASMA certification.
  • \n
  • IPAF certification.
  • \n
  • CSCS or SkillCard.
  • \n
  • Manufacturer training for Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Toshiba, Panasonic or similar systems.
  • \n
  • Experience installing ventilation or heat recovery systems.
  • \n
  • Electrical qualifications or experience with air conditioning control wiring.
  • \n
