Job Description

Planning Manager Location: London (Flexible Hybrid) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Manager to join a growing engineering and operations-focused organisation in London. This role is ideal for a proactive planner who can coordinate resources, schedules, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage planning activities to drive efficiency, cost savings, and safe operations. Develop and maintain resource and delivery schedules to support successful project execution. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to prevent planning failures. Ensure a "right first time" approach through effective planning and coordination. Oversee the timely delivery of materials, equipment, documentation, and resources to project sites. Coordinate delivery programmes with clients, suppliers, project engineers, and project managers. Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and project requirements. Monitor schedules and resource allocation, resolving potential conflicts and delays. Implement best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, and compliance. Contribute positively within a collaborative and supportive team environment. Requirements Proven experience in resource, project, or operational planning within a complex environment. Strong track record of improving business performance through effective planning. Experience with planning and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management. Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail. Reliable, motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and commitment to high professional standards.
