Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to become a part of our expanding and vibrant team in Prince George's County, Maryland. This role presents a remarkable chance to engage in high-volume, innovative sports medicine within a community-focused, academically affiliated healthcare system. You will cater to a diverse range of patients, including student athletes, active adults, and weekend sports enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat sports-related musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in both surgical and non-surgical settings.
  • Conduct advanced arthroscopic and open surgical procedures on the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, and ankle.
  • Provide support for local school and community athletic programs (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Participate in on-call coverage as needed.
  • Accurately document all clinical activities using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Engage in quality improvement projects, team meetings, and ongoing education.
  • Optional opportunities for clinical teaching or research through academic partnerships.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
  • Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Possession of an active Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Expertise in arthroscopic techniques, including ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repairs, meniscal surgery, and cartilage restoration.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Experience in outreach and community engagement is a plus.
