We are looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to become part of our dedicated team at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Missouri, just an hour away from St. Louis.

Hospital Overview

Parkland Health Center features a full-service acute-care hospital in Farmington and a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre, serving the residents of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. The Farmington campus provides a comprehensive range of services, including inpatient medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, geriatric psychiatry, and emergency services. Outpatient services include a wound care clinic and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center.

This position offers a balanced professional environment within a supportive community, making it an ideal opportunity for an Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician seeking growth and stability.

Role Purpose

The physician will deliver professional medical services within their specialty through direct patient care and will allocate additional time as needed for related duties, such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations, managing in-basket tasks, conducting patient-specific education, and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the medical care of a patient panel by providing or arranging for inpatient hospital care, either through regular hospital rounds or by coordinating with hospitalists or other qualified physicians.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and care team members to ensure optimal patient care outcomes at designated clinic locations.
  • Perform and document medical histories and physical examinations in accordance with hospital medical staff bylaws.
  • Provide or arrange for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient care in compliance with Medical Staff bylaws and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with and mentor advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team members involved in the care of the physician's patient panel.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive; maintaining alertness and safety is essential.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Doctorate in Medicine.
  • Experience: No supervisory experience required.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified in the practicing specialty; Licensed Physician.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-5 years in the field.
