Obstetrics/ Gynecology

We are seeking a Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist to begin work as soon as possible for an ongoing position near Ferguson, KY. A Kentucky medical license is preferred.

• Coverage Type: Call Only.
• Call Type: In-House.
• Practice Settings: Inpatient.
• The department is equipped with 2 operating rooms for cesarean sections and emergency procedures.

• Licensure: Must possess a valid Kentucky medical license.
• Background: A clean professional history is essential.
• Specialty Skills Required:
  • Management of low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE).
  • OB Ultrasound skills, including performance and interpretation (Level I/Screening for viability, Level II/Targeted for anatomy).
  • Amniocentesis.
  • Routine deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for cesarean sections).
  • Complicated deliveries (cesarean sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs).
  • Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations.
  • Surgical gynecology, including open and laparoscopic procedures (diagnostic/minor tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation).
  • Operative/major surgeries (including diagnostic) such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs.
• Certifications Required: BLS and PALS.
• Licensure Options: Must be licensed in Kentucky or hold an IMLC.
• EMR System: MediTech.
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days.

• Referral Bonus: $2000 for any referral who completes 160 hours of work.
• Call Compensation: Competitive rates for weeknight call, with a premium for being called in; weekend call is compensated at 6 regular hours per day when called in.
• Hourly Pay: Competitive hourly rate, along with housing, car rental, gas, mileage (for personal vehicle use only), parking, tolls, and baggage fees.
