Chargeback Analyst LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Chargeback Analyst for our client in Draper, UT. This is a full-time contract opportunity supporting a Payment & Risk Operations team responsible for investigating payment disputes, managing chargebacks, and mitigating financial risk. Location & Schedule
  • Location: Draper, UT 84020
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM MT - Hybrid: In office Tuesday-Thursday
  • Contract Length: 6 months
  • Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour

Position Summary The Chargeback Analyst will manage the full lifecycle of merchant disputes and issuing chargebacks, including investigations, documentation review, processor submissions, reconciliation, and customer communications. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve payment-related issues in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
  • Review, investigate, and process merchant disputes and chargebacks
  • Prepare and submit representment packages and dispute documentation
  • Research disputed transactions and submit issuing chargeback claims
  • Track and update chargeback statuses throughout the resolution process
  • Perform chargeback reconciliation and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding dispute documentation and case updates
  • Analyze transaction activity to identify fraud, payment issues, and risk trends
  • Ensure all dispute deadlines and service-level requirements are met
  • Complete data entry, reporting, and case management activities
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of chargeback, dispute resolution, payment operations, fraud, or risk management experience
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience handling chargebacks on the merchant/acquiring side and/or issuing side
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with both merchant and issuing disputes
  • Fintech, banking, payment processing, or financial services background
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude
Experience with reconciliation, reporting, and data analysis

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
