We are in search of a distinguished physician leader to take on the role of Chair for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at our esteemed medical center, recognized nationally for its excellence in women's healthcare. This is a remarkable opportunity for an innovative leader to oversee a highly regarded department that manages around 6,000 births each year, while promoting clinical excellence, enhancing physician engagement, and fostering growth and innovation across a wide range of women's health services.
The Chair will be responsible for providing strategic, operational, clinical, and administrative guidance for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This pivotal role will significantly influence the future of women's healthcare in the region. The selected leader will collaborate closely with hospital and system executives to broaden access, enhance subspecialty services, attract and retain top talent, and further establish our medical center as a premier destination for comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care.
Position HighlightsLead one of New Jersey's top Women's Health programs, handling approximately 6,000 deliveries each year.
Manage a comprehensive department that encompasses general OB/GYN services and a growing array of subspecialty offerings.
Opportunity to enhance a well-established program supported by advanced maternal-fetal medicine, NICU capabilities, and cutting-edge technology.
Balance approximately 50% clinical duties with 50% administrative responsibilities.
Work alongside executive leadership to implement strategic growth initiatives and improve patient care throughout the region.

MD or DO degree from a recognized medical institution.
Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
A minimum of ten (10) years of leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting providing similar obstetrical and gynecologic care.
Proven success in leading physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams within a complex healthcare environment.
Eligibility for medical licensure in New Jersey (NJ licensure required upon hiring).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Experience in an academic or teaching setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Provide comprehensive strategic, operational, clinical, and administrative leadership for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Collaborate with hospital and system leadership to further enhance our medical center's reputation as a leader in women's healthcare.
Recruit, mentor, and cultivate high-performing physicians and advanced practice providers while promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
Advance initiatives focused on quality, safety, patient experience, and operational performance within the department.
Lead efforts in physician recruitment, retention, research, succession planning, and faculty development.
Expand and strengthen both general OB/GYN and subspecialty programs to address the evolving needs of the community.
Encourage collaboration across departments, service lines, and academic partners to support clinical, educational, and strategic goals.
Act as a visible and engaged leader, fostering strong relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and community stakeholders.
The expected salary range for this position is between $450,000 and $550,000 annually.
The final compensation offered will be influenced by various factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
