LHH is partnering with a leading investment advisor group on a search for a Portfolio Manager who will work onsite for their office in Richmond, VA. The Portfolio Manager will assume responsibility for managing sophisticated client portfolios while serving as a trusted advisor to ultra-high-net-worth families, foundations, endowments, and institutional investors. The individual will serve as a senior member of the investment team, overseeing portfolio construction, investment strategy, client relationships, and business development initiatives.
This individual will work closely with investment leadership, family office professionals, client service teams, and operations personnel to ensure exceptional client outcomes while supporting the continued growth of the Richmond office. The role offers significant visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to play a key role in a highly respected independent wealth management firm advising on more than $37 billion in client assets.
This is a direct hire job that offers a salary between $200K - $300K (doe) plus bonus. Here are more details about this job:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary portfolio manager for client relationships, ensuring portfolios align with client objectives, constraints, and long-term goals
Design, implement, and monitor customized investment portfolios across public and private markets
Oversee portfolio performance, asset allocation, and risk exposures while recommending adjustments as market conditions evolve
Lead portfolio review meetings and serve as a primary investment contact for sophisticated clients

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field required
MBA and/or CFA designation preferred
10+ years of investment management or financial services experience required
Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-asset investment portfolios
Strong expertise in portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and investment strategy implementation
Experience evaluating traditional and alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets preferred
