Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to become a part of our expanding orthopedic team. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a premier sports medicine program, including clinical pathways and community partnerships with local schools, colleges, and athletic organizations.
- Manage a diverse case load, focusing on shoulder, knee, and general sports injuries, leveraging a strong regional patient base and effective primary care integration.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy, athletic trainers, primary care sports medicine, emergency medicine, anesthesia, and pain management, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a balanced work-life schedule with shared call responsibilities and institutional support.
- Level III Trauma Center status.
- Shared evening and weekend call schedule (1:8).
- Dedicated support from Advanced Practice Providers.
- Strong referral network from primary care, urgent care, and local athletic programs.
- Excellent operating room access within a highly collaborative multispecialty environment.
- MD or DO degree.
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
- ABOS Board Certification or Board Eligibility is required.
- Ability to secure medical licenses in Iowa and Illinois.
- Proficient in both arthroscopic and open sports surgery techniques (shoulder and knee; hip skills are optional).
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Open to both recent graduates and seasoned surgeons.
- Guaranteed salary for two years: $739,410, with production starting at 10,650 wRVUs.
- Transition to a straight production model beginning in the third year.
- Potential to earn over $1 million annually.
- Recruitment incentive of $100,000.
