Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon - Join a Dynamic and Growing Team

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to become a part of our expanding orthopedic team. This is a remarkable chance to be a key player in a newly established and rapidly developing orthopedic practice, where you will have the freedom to shape and enhance a comprehensive sports medicine program within an energetic and active community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a premier sports medicine program, including clinical pathways and community partnerships with local schools, colleges, and athletic organizations.
  • Manage a diverse case load, focusing on shoulder, knee, and general sports injuries, leveraging a strong regional patient base and effective primary care integration.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy, athletic trainers, primary care sports medicine, emergency medicine, anesthesia, and pain management, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a balanced work-life schedule with shared call responsibilities and institutional support.
Position Highlights

  • Shared evening and weekend call schedule (1:8).

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
  • ABOS Board Certification or Board Eligibility is required.
  • Ability to secure medical licenses in Iowa and Illinois.
  • Proficient in both arthroscopic and open sports surgery techniques (shoulder and knee; hip skills are optional).
  • Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Open to both recent graduates and seasoned surgeons.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Guaranteed salary for two years: $739,410, with production starting at 10,650 wRVUs.
  • Transition to a straight production model beginning in the third year.
  • Potential to earn over $1 million annually.
  • Recruitment incentive of $100,000.
  • Relocation assistance up to $15,000.
  • Generous time off: 4 weeks of PTO, 1 week for CME, and 6 paid holidays.
