Desktop Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Deployment Technician to support a workstation refresh and hardware installation project. This role is responsible for deploying monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and mice according to customer-provided workstation layouts, ensuring a clean and professional installation, and documenting completed work. The technician will work closely with onsite contacts and project teams to ensure all installations meet quality standards and project requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesHardware Deployment & Installation- Check in with the designated onsite customer contact upon arrival.
- Locate and inventory all project equipment, including monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, and mounting hardware.
- Install monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, and mounts according to customer-provided desk layouts and specifications.
- Ensure monitors are properly aligned and positioned flush with each other for a professional appearance.
- Perform basic installation testing by powering on devices and verifying proper functionality.
- Remove installation debris, packaging materials, and excess equipment from work areas.
- Place recyclable materials and removed packaging in customer-designated disposal locations.
- Check out with the onsite customer contact at the completion of each workday.
- Adhere to all customer site policies, safety requirements, and project procedures.
- Experience with desktop hardware deployment, workstation setup, or IT infrastructure projects.
- Ability to install monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and mounting solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Basic troubleshooting skills to verify device functionality after installation.
- Experience with mobile documentation tools, asset tracking systems, or project management applications is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment and monitors as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
