General Practice, Trauma & General Acute Care APP Needed in Southern Illinois

Position Overview

Join our collaborative Trauma & Acute Care General Surgery team at SIH, where you'll work side-by-side with experienced and caring Trauma, General Surgeons, and fellow APP's to deliver exceptional care.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Provide comprehensive care for patients in General Surgery and Trauma under physician supervision.
\n
• Daily development and implementation of clinical management plans.
\n
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination.
\n
• Manage trauma and emergency surgical admissions in the ICU.
\n
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
\n
• Documented encounters accurately in EMR.
\n
• Communicate with the patients and families regarding care plans.
\n
• One weekend per four weekend coverage
\n
• In rotation with three other APP's
\n
\n

Training:

\n
• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (CAHEA-accredited), or
\n
• Masters Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing (CCNEA-accredited)
\n

Licensure & Certifications:

\n
• Current Illinois license as PA or APN
\n

\n
• Current NCCPA (PA) or AACC (APN) certification
\n

\n
• Controlled substance licensure for prescribing
\n
