Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, both inpatient and outpatient.
- Maintain a flexible schedule: 3 days in clinic, 1 day with dedicated OR time, and back-up call with CNM 1 to 2 days weekly.
- Participate in weekend call once a month.
- Manage 30 to 40 deliveries monthly.
- Handle clinic volume of 16 to 20 patients during an 8-hour day, depending on the mix of GYN and OB cases.
- Collaborate with CNMs in labor and delivery as well as in the clinic.
- Support APRNs in the clinic setting.
- Salary: Guaranteed with potential incentives, ranging from $382,000 to $420,000 annually.
- Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidates.
- Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- NRP certification is required.
- Experience in low-resource, rural settings is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience is desirable, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Our facility, located on the Big Island of Hawai'i, is a 35-bed rural acute-care hospital serving Waimea and its neighboring areas. With over 300 employees and more than a dozen physicians, we provide care at the main hospital and outpatient clinics. Our Level III Trauma Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and recognized as a Baby-Friendly birth facility.
