Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Laborist Physician

Our organization is actively looking for a full-time OB/GYN Laborist Physician to join our team in Buffalo, NY. This vibrant and family-oriented community is situated along the shores of Lake Erie, offering a welcoming environment for both professionals and families.

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified or Board Eligible and will be responsible for providing inpatient care on the Labor Deck at Buffalo Mercy Hospital. As part of a multispecialty physician group affiliated with a prominent healthcare system, you will have access to a robust support staff and ancillary services across a network of four hospitals.

Key Job Features
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, consisting of seven (7) 24-hour shifts per month, including at least one weekend each month.
  • Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $285,000 to $325,000.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school with either a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree.
  • Active medical license to practice in New York State, along with a valid DEA certificate.
  • Board certification in OB/GYN.
  • Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM).
Responsibilities
  • Provide routine care for all obstetrical patients, including those with high-risk conditions.
  • Deliver in-house obstetrical services, which encompass emergency cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal births, and operative vaginal births, as well as rounding on antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients.
  • Offer backup support to obstetrical providers upon request, including VBAC coverage.
  • Assist attending physicians in surgical procedures when needed and perform emergency GYN procedures that arise in the Emergency Department.
