Job Description
Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact. \n
- Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources. \n
- Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to United Health Services policy. \n
- Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services. \n
- Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and United Health Services policies. \n
- Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices. \n
- Actively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements. \n
- Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. \n
- Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. \n
- Will follow all United Health Services Values. \n
- Will perform other duties as assigned. \n
Education/Experience
\nMinimum Required:
\n- \n
- A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing \n
Preferred:
\n- \n
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing \n
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting \n
License/Certification
\nMinimum Required:
\n- \n
- Current NYS RN License \n
Preferred:
\n- \n
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty \n
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.Responsibilities: \n

- Rooms are air conditioned and heated. \n
- Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting. \n
- Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions. \n
- Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants. \n
- PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by Infection Control policies \n
