Job Opportunity: Complex Benign and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-eligible or board-certified Complex Benign and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to become a part of the newly formed Division of Complex and Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery (CMIGS). This is a full-time, open-rank academic role within a dynamic and expanding program that acts as a regional referral hub for intricate benign gynecologic issues.

About the Division

The Division specializes in delivering comprehensive surgical solutions for patients facing complex gynecologic challenges. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Endometriosis
  • Large-volume fibroids
  • Pelvic pain
  • Adhesions
  • Isthmoceles
  • C-section scar ectopic pregnancies
  • Adnexal pathology
  • Abnormal uterine bleeding
  • Congenital anomalies

The Division prioritizes minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic, robotic, hysteroscopic, and vaginal surgeries, and is dedicated to advancing the field through research, education, and collaborative efforts across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver advanced surgical care using minimally invasive, laparoscopic, robotic, hysteroscopic, and/or vaginal techniques for complex benign gynecologic conditions.
  • Contribute to the education of medical students and OB/GYN residents through clinical instruction and simulation training.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the realm of gynecologic surgery.
  • Engage in clinical or translational research that aligns with the priorities of the Division.
  • Assist in establishing a formal referral program and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • MD/DO degree or equivalent, with board eligibility or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Completion of a fellowship in Complex Benign/Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery or a comparable program.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Eligibility for medical licensure, DEA, and CDS in New Jersey.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fellowship accredited by AAGL is preferred.
  • Proven excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and scholarly activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on interdisciplinary care.
  • Passion for patient care and education of medical students and residents.
