Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a visually impaired teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role supports students with visual impairments through remote instruction and specialized educational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored telehealth instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting materials and techniques to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate virtually with parents, guardians, and educational staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Utilize assistive technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences and accessibility.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates on development and achievement.
  • Stay informed of best practices and innovations in visual impairment education and telehealth delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a teacher of students with visual impairments.
  • Proven experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting.
  • Comfort and proficiency with telehealth platforms and digital instructional tools.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with students, families, and professionals remotely.
  • Ability to design and modify curriculum materials suited for virtual learning environments.
