Obstetrics/Gynecology

We are seeking a Locum Obstetrics/Gynecologist to begin as soon as possible for an ongoing position near Tolar, TX. A Texas medical license is preferred.

• On-call duties only.
• Anticipate 9-10 on-call days each month, starting at noon on Friday and concluding at 7 AM on Monday.
• Call type: Beeper.
• Practice environment: Inpatient.
• Essential skills required include:
• Management of low-risk pregnancies
• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• Level I screening (viability)
• Amniocentesis
• Routine vaginal deliveries
• Low forceps deliveries
• Decision-making for cesarean sections
• Handling complicated deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• Management of breech presentations
• Multiple births
• Placental abruptions
• VBACs
• Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations
• Laparoscopic procedures (diagnostic/minor only, including tubal ligation)
• Operative/major procedures (including diagnostic) for ectopic pregnancies, ovary removals, cystectomies, and extensive laparoscopic surgeries.
• Preferred skills include:
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies
• Performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds
• Average annual deliveries: 630.
• Required certifications: NRP.
• Must hold a Texas medical license.
• Facility designation: Level 4 Trauma.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system: Athena/Medhost.
• Credentialing process duration: 30 - 45 days.
