OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale fiber network expansion project in the Piscataway, NJ area. This role is heavily field-focused and ideal for someone with a strong background in FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home), OSP construction, broadband infrastructure, and contractor management.
The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in the field monitoring construction activities, validating contractor performance, ensuring quality standards are met, and confirming project progress aligns with schedules and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day fiber construction activities across assigned project areas
- Spend approximately 70–75% of time in the field supporting and monitoring construction vendors and contractors
- Verify contractors are working in assigned areas and performing work efficiently
- Conduct quality control inspections of completed construction work
- Review and validate as-built documentation for accuracy
- Audit and confirm contractor invoicing aligns with completed work
- Ensure construction activities meet company, municipal, and industry standards
- Track project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Maintain project reporting and project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle
- 3+ years of Project Management experience supporting telecommunications or utility construction projects
- Strong understanding of FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) networks
- Experience with OSP (Outside Plant) construction practices
- Knowledge of HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) and broadband network infrastructure
- Experience managing and overseeing construction vendors and contractors
- Ability to review and validate construction documentation, as-builts, and invoicing
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience supporting fiber deployment or broadband expansion programs
- Familiarity with telecom construction standards, permitting, and restoration practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and network designs

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
