Company
\nThis is a growing PE backed education and training business based in south east London, but globally recognised. They support thousands of adults & juniors annually across several countries offering academic, professional and education training services.
\nDue to continued growth, they are looking to hire a newly qualified Management Accountant to join their finance department.
\nRole
\nReporting into the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will take ownership of preparation of monthly accounts (P&L, Balance Sheets etc.) and support on business partnering & process improvements across the team. Key responsibilities include:

- Partner with the Divisional Managing Director and senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making. \n
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial commentary \n
- Drive the month-end close, ensuring accurate reporting and timely balance sheet reconciliations \n
- Prepare board reporting, budgets, forecasts, and business plans to support strategic objectives \n
- Oversee transactional finance activities, including AP, AR, banking, and intercompany recharges \n
- Manage and develop the Finance Assistant within the team \n
- Monitor financial and operational KPIs, providing analysis to drive business performance \n
- Lead the audit process, maintain the fixed asset register, and prepare quarterly VAT returns \n
- Manage debtor reporting and cash collection, working closely with operational teams to minimise aged debt and improve cash flow \n
- Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes, and enhance the efficiency of the finance function \n
Profile
\nThe ideal profile for this Management Accountant position, should have the following:
\n- \n
- Recently/Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA/CIMA) \n
- 4+ years of experience within management accounts preparation & owning month-end processes \n
- Experience working within a fast-paced or PE backed environment \n
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal \n
- Proven experience in process improvements and supporting streamlining of workflows \n
- Experience with Sage Intaact would be advantageous \n
