Mechanical Project EngineerLocation: Rochester, KentContract Type: 12-month contractSummaryWe are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support MEICA design and delivery activities on allocated schemes, reporting directly to the C&DLs and MEICA & Commissioning Manager. The role involves ensuring all work is undertaken safely and in accordance with company procedures, specifications, and best practices. You will coordinate MEICA design activities from Gate Way 3 (GW3) through to the start of site delivery, providing technical and quality support to project delivery teams throughout the scheme lifecycle. Responsibilities include subcontract management during scheme close-out, reviewing and monitoring design and procurement deliverables, managing project risks, and ensuring commissioning requirements are incorporated at the design stage. You will liaise closely with design and procurement teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with quality and safety standards.This role requires strong technical knowledge of MEICA systems, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation elements, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will assist in reviewing design deliverables such as functional design specifications, equipment and instrument lists, P&IDs, control philosophies, and telemetry requirements.
