Multi-Skilled Engineer | Doncaster | Up to £43,900 + Overtime | Days & Nights Rotation | No WeekendsMeridian Business Support are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a growing organisation within their manufacturing operation in Doncaster . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer to join a leading global manufacturer. The role is ideally suited to candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, extrusion, injection moulding or automated environments who are looking for a long-term engineering career.As a Multi Skilled Engineer , you will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment through both reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring maximum equipment availability and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.Your duties will include:Carrying out reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maintain production performanceCompleting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules across manufacturing equipment and machineryDiagnosing and rectifying electrical and mechanical faults using effective fault-finding techniquesSupporting continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiencyConducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring issuesMaintaining accurate maintenance records and engineering documentationSupporting the implementation of safe working practices in line with company procedures and legislationAssisting with engineering projects and equipment upgrades across the siteSupporting Lead Engineers with workplace organisation and engineering standardsMentoring engineering apprentices within the maintenance departmentAttending daily engineering meetings, weekly RCA reviews and monthly energy meetingsTo be considered for this Multi Skilled Engineer role, you will need:Previous experience as a qualified Engineer, preferably with a mechanical bias within a manufacturing environmentStrong technical knowledge of automated assembly systems, extrusion or injection mouldingExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsGood organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectivelyA proactive approach to continuous improvement and engineering best practicesQualifications:ONC qualified and/or Apprentice Trained Engineer (essential)HNC qualification in an Engineering discipline (desirable)Shift PatternThis role operates on a 3-week rotating pattern of 12-hour day and night shifts:Week 1: Monday & Tuesday Days, Thursday & Friday NightsWeek 2: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday DaysWeek 3: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday NightsBenefits and PackageSalary of £43,900 per annumNo weekend workOpportunity to join a leading global manufacturing businessOngoing training and development opportunitiesLong-term career prospectsYou will be joining a highly skilled engineering team where your contribution will directly support operational performance, equipment reliability and continuous improvement across the site.Meridian Business Support is a recruitment specialist acting on behalf of our client as an Employment Agency for this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
