F LOURSHING FAMILIES ASSESSMENT SERVICESFAMILY SUPPORT WORKER ADVERTTitle: Family Support WorkerSalary/Rate: £1 3 .00 per hourLocation : ReadingHours: Full time (36 hours) / Part time (Up to 24 hours) / Bank Staff (0 Hours)We have an opportunity for experienced support workers for both day and waking night shifts to join our Residential Family Assessment Unit based in Reading , Berkshire. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people who are reliable and able to offer emotional and practical support to our families (Parents/Carers and children up to 4 years old).Flourishing Families Assessment Services is located in a quiet residential estate in Reading Berkshire . You will work under our Ofsted Registered Manager and our assessing Social Work Manager/ S ocial Workers . Potential candidates will need to remain focused , calm and work in a Child/F amily C entred way ensuring that they remain professional at all times . The ethos of our R esidential Family Assessment Unit is to provide a homely and family-like environment t o those being assessed by Family Court /Local Authority directive .Job duties and expectations include:To safeguard and promote the welfare of all our families within the Residential Families Assessment Unit and in the community.To contribute to the provision of a secure, stable, supportive environment for the families which respects and promotes their health, culture, religion, race, identity and lifestyleTo maintain and promote family residential support work to high levels of professionalism expected by Ofsted under regulation The Residential Families Centres Regulations 2002Ability to keep clear and accurate records ensuring that good quality report logs are maintained as requiredGood communicator and excellent interpersonal skills and good organisational skillsAbility to be an active team player and to work on own initiativeCommitment to good practice and a positive team approach to workCommitment to equal opportunity and challenging any discriminatory and oppressive practicesTo ensure our unit is kept clean and in a tidy condition , encouragin g parent/carers to participate as appropriateCompetent in the use of Microsoft office applicationAll staff are required to adhere to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) and respect the confidentiality of all matters in respect of familiesEnsure that all matters of concern are reported to Manager s / Lead Family Practitioner s within the appropriate policy timeframesTo complete all mandatory training (Face to Face or O nl ine)Schedule d s hifts will consist of the following: This role is not a 9.00am to 5.00pm and will require the applicant to be flexible.12-hour ShiftsWaking Night ShiftsWeekend ShiftsEducation:Preferable one of the below qualifications :Any Social Work Qualification i.e. (Newley Qualified etc.)Students studying Social Work (1 st , 2 nd or Final Year)NVQ (Children) Level 3 and abovePreferable Experience within :Residential Family Support in a Parent and Child UnitChildrens CentreSchool/NurseryLocal AuthorityBenefits:Flexible working hoursCasual dress codeFirst DBS covered by us (If applicable, subject to terms and conditions)Holiday A llowance (Subject to Contract)Pension (Subject to Contract)TrainingPlease Note : T his post is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (c.53) as it involves contact with children and vulnerable adults.TPBN1_UKTJ
