Quantity Surveyor Residential Contractor & Developerc£40k - £60K (Dependent on Relevant Experience & Seniority)Additional BenefitsThe CompanyMy client is a Humberside based independent construction contractor with longstanding customer relationships stretching back over two decades. These projects consist of New Builds and Refurbishments, primarily in the residential and commercial sectors, carried out on a Design & Build basis.The Senior Quantity Surveyor RoleAs a Quantity Surveyor initially you will be working on a variety of projects valued up to £3m, based in Hull and the surrounding area, You will be responsible for all the financial aspects of the project, working on the pre-con phase of tenders and then take the project through to site delivery. You will work closely with the MQS and Commercial Manager as well as the client and site team, sometimes autonomously. Your active knowledge sharing, and quick resolution of issues will go a long way in the successful running of this project.Here's what you'll be doing:Leading commercially in tender and project meetingsPreparing and monitoring bid package tender schedules and report against the cost plan where requiredPreparing, submitting and agreeing monthly costs reports and collating information from other Project/Assistant surveyors, as necessary.In charge of the risk & cash managementThe Successful Quantity Surveyors:Experience in the majority of the above roles & responsibilitiesDegree qualified or NVQ, BTEC or Higher National equivalent5 years full time experience in a surveying role with a leading reputable main / principal contractorGood Understanding of JCT forms of contract & Contract lawGood knowledge and understanding of Word and Excel packagesGood verbal and written communication skillsTPBN1_UKTJ
