Night-Shift Electrical Testing TechnicianMidlands RegionContract Opportunity Rate: £36.40 per hourHours: 40 hours per weekShift Pattern: Predominantly nightsStart Date: Available immediatelyAn opportunity has become available for an experienced electrical testing professional to join a specialist compliance project operating across industrial and heavy engineering environments throughout the Midlands.This assignment is ideally suited to an electrician with a strong background in statutory inspection, condition reporting and testing of low-voltage electrical installations within manufacturing, process, aggregates or similar sectors.The position will initially run for three months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements.Working Pattern The role is primarily structured around night working, typically covering four shifts per week:Monday to Thursday8:00pm to 6:00amAdditional weekend shifts available during planned shutdown periodsRegular overtime opportunitiesThe majority of the work will be undertaken in Leicestershire, with occasional travel to other locations across the Midlands when operational requirements arise.Main Duties You will be responsible for carrying out:Periodic inspection of electrical installationsFixed-wire testing programmesElectrical condition assessments and reportingIdentification and recording of non-compliancesVerification of installations against current wiring regulationsSafe isolation and testing proceduresAccurate completion of certification and inspection recordsWork will be conducted within active industrial environments where a strong commitment to safe working practices is essential.Candidate Requirements Applicants should possess:Recognised electrical qualificationsCity & Guilds 2391 or equivalent inspection and testing qualificationCurrent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificationValid ECS cardDemonstrable experience producing EICRs and inspection documentationIndustrial, manufacturing, quarrying or process-sector experience would be highly advantageousFull UK driving licenceYou should also be comfortable working independently, liaising with site personnel and adapting to varying operational environments.Package £36.40 per hourCompany vehicle providedFuel card suppliedTesting equipment providedPPE suppliedOvertime availableImmediate mobilisationThis assignment offers the opportunity to join a long-term industrial testing programme, supporting electrical compliance activities across a portfolio of critical operational sites.If you are interested in this role, or have any questions then please send us a copy of your CVRob @ Utilise RecruitmentTPBN1_UKTJ
