We currently employ over 600 people across eight sites in the UK, and our specialisations include software engineering, underwater robotics, radars, AI, and armed forces training.The Role:This is a 12 month fixed term contract role.Saab UK is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Junior Controller to join our finance team. In this role, you will a part of ensuring the financial success of our business and collaborating with teams across the UK and Sweden. This role will be Supporting our Saab Seaeye Senior Business controller with monitoring the ongoing SR20 program and other controlling analysisKey Responsibilities:Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, and expendituresAnalise project financial performance, identifying trends and variancesPrepare and present regular financial reports, including cost-to-complete and earned value analysisEnsure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition in line with project milestones and contractual termsSupport project planning and scheduling with financial inputAssist in developing project cost estimates and forecastsMaintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support resource planning and risk managementAct as a liaison between project teams and finance departments in the UK and SwedenSkills and Qualifications:A qualified or part-qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience in financial analysis or project accountingSomeone with a genuine interest in understanding the business and the exciting products we developA strategic thinker with a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingA master of Microsoft Excel and other office tools, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skillsAn effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levelsA proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can meet deadlines under pressureKnowledge of finance and project accountingBy submitting an application to Saab UK you consent to undertaking workforce screening activities that may include but are not limited to: Baseline Personnel Security checks, National Security Vetting, reference checks, verification of working rights and in all circumstances preferred candidates will be placed through a security interview.TPBN1_UKTJ
