Field Service Engineer Location: UK Field Based (Ideal locations: Midlands, Worcestershire or M4 Corridor)Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum + Company Vehicle or £5,000 Car AllowanceAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing technical business specialising in advanced electronics manufacturing equipment. This field-based role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge production and inspection systems, including x-ray technology, supporting customers across the UK with installations, servicing, maintenance and technical support.Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring customers maximise the performance and reliability of their equipment while delivering an exceptional level of service.Duties of a Customer Support Engineer: Install and commission specialist production and x-ray inspection equipment at customer sitesCarry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairsDiagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and software faultsProvide operator training and technical guidance to customersSupport customer production through process and application adviceCarry out equipment demonstrations and customer trials where requiredComplete service reports and maintain accurate CRM recordsBuild strong relationships with customers through professional on-site supportTravel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays and visits to IrelandWhat we would like from you: Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Customer Support EngineerExperience working on electronics manufacturing equipment, SMT equipment, automation or precision machinery is highly desirableExperience working on x-ray systems, including medical x-ray equipment, will also be considered as the role involves supporting industrial x-ray inspection equipmentStrong fault-finding ability across electrical, mechanical and software systemsExcellent customer service and communication skillsComfortable working independently and managing your own scheduleProfessional, motivated approach with strong problem-solving skillsExperience using CRM systems and completing service documentationFull UK Driving LicenceWillingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight staysWhy join this opportunity?
