Children and Young Adults Support WorkerSalary: £12.87 to £14.03 per hour (linked to competency and qualifications) Plus £1500 Welcome bonus *Contract: Permanent, Full-TimeLocation : Meldreth, Near RoystonHours: 4 week rota pattern Average 40hrs per week for full time and flexible part time shifts/hours available including weekend only hours.Training : Full training is provided and once passed probation we will support and fund you completing Level 3 diploma in Residential Child Care*PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOT ABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE*We are currently looking for aSupport/CareWorkerinMeldreth, Nr. Royston (South Cambridgeshire / North Hertfordshire border) for a children's home that provides care and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 9-19 years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders.Key DutiesProviding exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care.Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and developEnsuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyableHelping develop their learning and social skills wherever possibleDuties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is requiredSkills & Qualifications:It is atough yet totally rewarding role. Ultimately, we are looking for people with a passion to build relationships and positively change the lives of the children and young adults that we work with. So, whilst previous experience would be highly beneficial; it's not essential.
