This modern facility offers exposure to cutting-edge automation and advanced engineering systems, making it an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to develop their technical skills in a fast-paced environment.You will be working as part of a large engineering team, reporting to the Lead Engineer and Shift Supervisor. The role is predominantly focused on planned preventative maintenance (approx. 98%), alongside reactive maintenance across a range of automated machinery.Site & Equipment This is a fully automated, clean working environment with a large-scale operation, including:Shuttle systemsConveyor systemsAutomated handling cranes (up to 40m high)Hanging garment systemsNo two days are the same, with a wide variety of machinery and technical challenges.Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)Respond to and resolve breakdowns efficientlyFault finding on mechanical and electrical systemsEnsure production targets are consistently achievedMaintain and repair automated machineryFollow and enforce safe working proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiativesAccurately document and report faultsCollaborate with engineering and operational teamsCommon Fault Finding Areas Mechanical:Bearings, belts, rollersGearboxes, motorsPneumatics & hydraulicsElectrical:Sensors and motorsBasic component recognitionPLC knowledge (advantageous)Non-Negotiable Requirements Level 3 Engineering Qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or automated environmentDesirable Requirements Multi-skilled capability (Mechanical or Electrical bias – approx. 80/20 split)PLC fault-finding experienceDistribution or logistics backgroundEx-forces engineers encouraged to applyThe Company The employer has been operating on-site for over 2 years, driving significant positive change and continuous improvement.
