You will work closely with cross-functional teams and key suppliers to support operational performance and long-term business objectives.What Youll DoDevelop and deliver commodity strategies aligned to business goalsCreate and execute long-term supply chain plansLead make vs buy decisions and support capability developmentManage supply chain risk and implement effective mitigation strategiesBuild strong supplier relationships and lead commercial negotiationsCollaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical, quality, and delivery challengesWhat Were Looking ForProven experience in procurement, sourcing, or commodity management within engineering or manufacturingStrong commercial awareness and negotiation skillsExperience managing complex or high-risk supply chainsAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications (desirable)Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make clear recommendationsExperience working with specialist or regulated suppliers (desirable)Degree / HND (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related fieldCIPS (or equivalent) qualification is advantageousShare and demonstrate the Martin-BakerOur ValuesAt Martin-Baker, we value professionalism, understanding, teamwork, humility, accountability and integrity.
