Class 1 HGV Shunter – Wakefield Location: WakefieldShift Pattern: 4 On / 4 OffHours: 06:00 – 18:00Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour.Job Type: Full-TimeWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HGV Shunter to join a well-established and growing operation based in Wakefield for an extremely busy distribution centre.This role is not for the light hearted as it will involve circa 100 moves plus per day in a 12 hour period so needs someone with experience.This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for a site-based role with no road work involved , offering excellent work-life balance on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern .The Role Shunting trailers around a busy distribution siteMoving vehicles safely between loading bays and designated areasConducting vehicle checks and reporting any defectsWorking closely with warehouse and transport teamsEnsuring all site safety procedures are followedRequirements Valid Class 1 (C+E) LicenceValid CPC and Digital Tachograph CardPrevious shunting experience preferred, but not essentialStrong awareness of health and safety proceduresReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyWhat We Offer Competitive pay rate of £15.50 per hour.Full-time hours on a consistent 4 on, 4 off rotaNo road driving – entirely site-based workFriendly and supportive working environmentOpportunity to secure a permanent position after 10 weeksImmediate starts available for suitable candidatesIf you're an experienced Class 1 driver looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a great company, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
