Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location: Capital Park, Cambridge, CB21 5XEHours: 8 hours per week (1 full day per week day to be agreed with the client)About the Role We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain the outdoor areas of a prestigious commercial site at Capital Park, Cambridge.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards.Key Responsibilities Mowing lawns and maintaining grassed areasHedge trimming, shrub pruning and general plantingWeeding flower beds and watering plantsSweeping and blowing paths and hard landscaped areasEmptying litter bins and maintaining a clean siteOperating grounds maintenance equipment including: Pedestrian mowersRide-on mowersStrimmersHedge cuttersLeaf blowersCarrying out daily equipment safety checks and reporting defectsApplying fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides where appropriately qualified (PA1/PA6)Assisting with seasonal duties including leaf clearance, snow clearance, gritting and storm clean-upAbout You You'll ideally have:Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or commercial gardeningA full UK driving licenceA positive attitude and strong work ethicThe ability to work independentlyGood physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditionsDesirable (but not essential) PA1 & PA6 spraying certificatesChainsaw certificationExperience operating ride-on mowing equipmentWhat We're Looking For Reliable and punctualHealth & safety consciousAble to work to a high standard with minimal supervisionProfessional and presentableTakes pride in maintaining outdoor environmentsWorking Pattern 1 day per week8-hour shiftDay to be agreed with the clientIf you're an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative looking for a flexible part-time opportunity in Cambridge, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
