KGJob description:Are you ready to take full ownership of customs operations at a national level and drive transformation across a complex logistics environment? As National Customs Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring compliant, efficient and future-ready customs operations across all business units. You will shape strategy, lead high-performing teams, and drive innovation through continuous improvement and digitalisation.How you create impact Lead and oversee national customs operations, ensuring compliance and operational excellence across all business units.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency and service quality.Identify and implement automation and digital solutions to optimise customs processes.Support the onboarding of new business, including RFQs and operational integrations.Build strong customer relationships and represent the operations function in key customer engagements.Collaborate across functions, including IT, Sales, Compliance and Operations, to deliver innovative solutions.Lead and manage strategic projects, ensuring successful implementation and measurable outcomes.Inspire, develop and lead a high-performing, inclusive team while fostering a strong performance culture.What we would like you to bring Proven experience in customs operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.Strong knowledge of UK and international customs regulations and compliance requirements.Demonstrable experience in process optimisation, automation and continuous improvement.Leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach and develop diverse teams.Strong project management skills, with experience of leading cross-functional initiatives.Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.Proficiency in customs management systems (e.g. CargoWise or similar platforms).Fluent English; additional language skills would be an advantage.What's in it for you As well as our competitive pay rates and superb training opportunities, we also offer a great working environment.You will be respected and valued if you work for us and have genuine opportunities to progress and develop.26 days holidays plus bank holidays2 volunteering days per year3 x Life Assurance Option if you join the KN Route2 pension schemeA tailored personal development and training programme.Trusted and empowered to deliver and be your best.We are happy to talk about flexible working.
