You'll play a key role in ensuring strong financial controls, supporting continuous improvement, and creating a positive, collaborative team environment.As the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you'll oversee the day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring transactional processes are completed accurately, controls are maintained, and service levels are consistently achieved. You'll be a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, supporting colleagues, and driving operational excellence.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real impact while developing your leadership skills within a growing business that values its people.Key Responsibilities:Lead, motivate and support a small Accounts Receivable team in a fast-paced environmentEnsure all accounts receivable processes are completed accurately and within agreed timescalesMonitor and maintain financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal proceduresManage and resolve unallocated cash queriesProcess and review Direct Debit collectionsComplete complex account reconciliations and investigate discrepanciesReview and approve invoices and credit notesProvide guidance, coaching and day-to-day support to team membersAssist with the training and development of new and existing colleaguesProvide cover for the Accounts Receivable Manager during periods of annual leave or absenceSupport continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional responsibilities as requiredPerson Profile:We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounts receivable knowledge with excellent leadership skills.Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable Team Leader / Credit Control Team Leader or similar supervisory roleA strong finance background with a solid understanding of accounts receivable processes and controlsExperience managing reconciliations and resolving complex account queriesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-moving environmentHigh levels of accuracy and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop othersA proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementConfidence working with finance systems and ExcelYou'll be someone who leads by example, builds positive relationships, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
