Job Description

Main Purpose of Role:We're hiring a motivated, detail-oriented HR & Payroll Coordinator to deliver accurate, compliant payroll and provide high-quality HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle.The role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless employee experience, acting as a key point of contact for payroll and HR queries while supporting the effective use of our HR systems.We're looking for someone intuitive, welcoming, and passionate about delivering a first-class service, building strong relationships across the business, and contributing positively to the overall success of the HR function.Key Responsibilities:Payroll & ComplianceOwn and manage the end-to-end payroll process through our new HRIS, DayforceAct as the first point of contact for payroll queriesInput, validate and reconcile payroll data (hours, allowances, deductions, absence)Perform payroll validation checks, ensuring deadlines are consistently metMaintain accurate payroll records, documentation, and audit trailsEnsure compliance with payroll legislation and internal controlsProduce and submit statutory HMRC reportsPrepare and submit P11D returns and Class 1A NIC calculationsProcess P46 notifications (where applicable)Maintain records in line with statutory retention requirementsHR AdministrationDeliver HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including: Recruitment support (advertising, interview coordination)Offer packs, contracts, and onboarding documentationEmployee correspondence (probation, salary reviews, leavers)Maintain employee records in line with GDPR and Right to Work complianceSupport HR meetings, including minute taking for disciplinary and grievance hearingsAssist with onboarding, inductions, and training coordinationAct as the Dayforce system expert, supporting users and resolving issuesProduce HR reports and support data requestsContribute to system improvements, testing, and upgradesEssential Skills:Proven experience in payroll processing, with strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirementsExperience using HR/payroll systems (Dayforce or similar)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracyStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressureHigh level of attention to detail, particularly when handling payroll dataExcellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach to employee queriesAbility to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretionExperience supporting HR administration across the employee lifecycleProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data handling and reportingEnhanced BenefitsAnnual leave entitlement starting at 23 days plus bank holiday, increasing with length of service up to 28 days plus bank holidaysMatched Pension SchemeLife Assurance (4 times basic salary)BUPA healthcare and Dental PlanLong Service Awards at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 yearsEnhanced Family LeaveTPBN1_UKTJ
