This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys being actively involved on the shop floor, leading from the front and driving improvements across site reliability and maintenance performance.This role requires a practical, hands-on manager who can lead a team, support engineering operations and bring a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.What's on Offer? £50,000+ salary depending on experienceHands-on leadership role within a growing businessOpportunity to influence engineering strategy and site improvementsMonday to Friday working patternStrong career development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentThe Role As Maintenance Manager , you will be responsible for leading the engineering function while remaining hands-on and supporting the team with day-to-day challenges.Your responsibilities will include:Leading, motivating and developing the engineering teamDriving a proactive maintenance culture across the siteManaging planned preventative maintenance schedulesReducing equipment downtime through effective fault finding and problem solvingSupporting mechanical and electrical maintenance activitiesWorking closely with production teams to improve equipment reliabilityIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gainsEnsuring engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintainedTaking ownership of maintenance performance and improvementsWhat We're Looking For Essential Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering LeaderStrong engineering background within a manufacturing, chemical or FMCG environmentProven experience leading and developing engineering teamsA hands-on approach with the ability to work alongside engineers when requiredStrong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilityExcellent problem-solving skills with an ability to think outside the boxExperience working within a fast-paced production environmentDesirable Basic PLC knowledge or PLC fault-finding experience ( not essential )Experience with automated production equipmentBackground within chemical manufacturing, FMCG, food, beverage or process manufacturingExperience driving continuous improvement and reliability projectsKnowledge of preventative maintenance systemsApply Today If you're an experienced engineering leader who enjoys being hands-on, solving complex problems and making improvements that have a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.Please ensure your CV clearly demonstrates your relevant Maintenance Management experience, engineering leadership background and experience within a manufacturing, chemical or FMCG environment before applying.
