Material Handler (FLD)

We are seeking a Material Handler to join our chemical processing manufacturing site. This role involves handling raw materials, packaging, and final products while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance in a hazardous materials processing facility.Your Time at WorkSample and analyse raw materials, reporting results in SAP.Inspect, offload, and document incoming raw materials and packaging deliveries using mechanical handling equipment such as counterbalance forklift.Report discrepancies in quantity or quality to planners/managers.Move materials on-site and operate tank farms (training provided) for distribution and offloading.Prepare and load final products for dispatch.Guide tanker drivers on safe working practices if required.Our Perfect WorkerRelevant material handling and warehousing experienceCurrent counterbalance forklift truck licence (external)Strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skillsAbility to follow safety procedures and work in a high-hazard environmentKey Information and BenefitsAttractive working hours:Mon-Thu 7:45am-4:15pmFri 7:45am-1:30pm£16.32 per hr pay rate (£17.95 if moved to a 7-day day shift pattern)Overtime may be availableOngoing temporary contract, long term opportunityOwn transport may be required due to site location in North Ayrshire.About Brightwork-Brightwork Ltd offers the services of an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
